The Mona Shores girls basketball team pulled out a close win over Fruitport 30-27 on Friday in an O-K Black Conference game.

The Sailors jumped out to an 8-6 lead after the first stanza and led 22-15 at halftime. 

The Trojans responded with a 9-4 third quarter run to cut their deficit to 26-24 heading into the fourth stanza.

Both teams struggled to score during the final quarter but Mona Shores managed to maintain its lead.

Riley Rosenthal led the Sailors with 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Trojans were paced by Kennah MerMerris with 13 points.

Mona Shores is now 3-9 on the season while the Trojans fell to 0-10 on the year.
