Muskegon Heights withstands Muskegon Catholic and Jared Dugener in Lakes 8 win

Muskegon Heights fought off Muskegon Catholic and Jared Dugener in a 47-40 Lakes 8 boys basketball clash on Tuesday.

The Tigers jumped out to a 19-12 first-quarter lead and led 28-22 at half time.

Muskegon Catholic kept the Tigers in check to start the second half, trailing 38-34 after the third quarter.

Kevon Washington paced the Tigers with 16 points while Arlester Sims finished with 15.

Jared Dugener led MCC (7-5, 2-4) with 23 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Andre Watson added 10 points, five rebounds and four assists with Seth Arends adding five points.
