Local Sport Journal Muskegon Catholic broke open a tight game with a big second quarter as they beat Freedom Christian 70-41 in a River Valley Conference game on Thursday night. The game was tied at 22-22 after one quarter, but MCC went on a 22-7 run in the second quarter to take a 34-19 lead into halftime. Cari Campbell led MCC with 19 points and Jesse Anderson added 10.
Local Sports Journal Muskegon Catholic trailed at halftime before rallying for a 56-50 win over visiting Covenant Christian in a River Valley Conference game. The Crusaders trailed 14-11 after one quarter and 26-19 at halftime, but rallied with a 37-point second half.
