Aya Johnson finishes 11th, Hailey Hrynewich 15th in AJGA event in Indiana

North Muskegon’s Aya Johnson shot a final-round score of 76 on Thursday and finished tied for 11th in the Stonehenge Open in Indiana.

Muskegon’s Hailey Hrynewich finished 15th after shooting an 83 on Thursday.

Both area golfers had made the cut in the American Junior Golf Association event at Stonehenge Golf Course in Winona Lake, Ind.

Johnson’s three-round score was 230 and Hrynewich had 233.

Madelin Gedeon, from Roseville, Calif., captured the championship with a final-round score of 75 and a three-day total of 217.
