Fruitport Calvary Christian looking to fill some gaps on its boys soccer team

BOYS SOCCER

FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN

Coach: Rick Maine
Last year: 9-8.

Development of young players is a must for the Eagles this coming season. One forward and one defender return from last year, including seniors Drew Maine and Josh Hatfield.

Maine scored 11 goals and added nine assists in earning first-team all-conference honors. Hatfield is a solid defender.

Other letterwinners include senor Aaron Ebeling, a defender, and junior defender Jefferson Britton.

Promising newcomers include Joel Fullmer, a sophomore striker and goalkeeper Mike Warren.

“We look to get better as the year progresses,” Maine said. “We should be very competitive in the Alliance Conference.”
