Freshman Eric Hilt scored 20 seconds in his first collegiate soccer game and propelled the Muskegon Community College Jayhawks to a 4-0 victory over visiting Lakeland Community College on Saturday.
His unassisted tally got the Jayhawks off and running on a hot afternoon at Reeths-Puffer High School.
Less than three minutes later, Drew Maus made it 2-0 on a goal assisted by Tanner Schaap.
Before the first half would end, MCC made it 3-0 on an unassisted goal by Michael Schmitt.
Schmitt notched his second goal of the game 26:35 into the second half with an assist going to Ivan Navarrette.
The Jayhawks outshot Lakeland 11-2 with MCC goalkeeper Tyler Lane making three saves.
On Sunday, MCC hosts Cuyohoga Community College. Gametime is 1 p.m. at Reeths-Puffer High School.
