FRUITPORT TROJANS

Coach: Greg Kobylak.

Last year: 12-6-1, 7-3 in the Lakes 8.

The Trojans return 13 players from last season, including eight starters.

That group includes goalkeeper Loghan Stong, who set a school record with a 0.85 goals-against-average and nine shutouts.

Other returning starters include Matt Escalante, a four-year starter, Ryan Mason, Taylor McLaughlin, Dalton Mullenix, Zach Gilson, Andrew Frost and Ryan Craker.

Other key returnees from a year ago include Nic Carrier, Kevin Rollenhagen, Colin Sparks and Alan Pekel.

“If we put our talented pieces together we should have an excellent fall,” Kobylak said. “We have scheduled the most difficult schedule in Fruitport soccer history, but we believe we can compete with anyone and are ready for the challenge.”

Other players expected to contribute throughout the season include Collin Cribley, Jacob Clendenon, Jacob Dyer and Matt Umstead.

”We have started the season with the proper attitude and focus that should lead to satisfying results,” Kobylak said.
