The Fruitport Trojans remained perfect in Lakes 8 soccer action on Tuesday with a 5-0 victory over the Fremont Packers.

The Trojans (6-3-2, 3-0) had a 2-0 lead at the half on goals by Dalton Mullennix and Taylor McLaughlin. Ryan Craker assisted on the Mullennix goal.

Three insurance goals were scored in the second half by Fruitport.  McLaughlin, Nick Carrier and Jae Shin scored in the second half. Assists were credited to McLaughin and Matt Escalante.

The Trojans had a 15-7 advantage in shots. Goalkeeper Loghan Stong had a solid game in net for Fruitport. Defenders Colin Cribley, Ryan Mason, Cody Pekel and Andrew Frost were solid all night long on defense. All four played the entire 80 minutes and helped Stong earn his fourth shutout in the last five games.

Fremont fell to 5-7-1, 0-4.
