Muskegon Catholic Central unleashed a potent rushing attack Friday night en route to a 33-10 nonconference victory at McBain.

Alex Lewandoski carried eight times for 110 yards and three touchdowns (5,9, 61) and Jessie Anderson added 15 carries for 104 yards and a score (5) to pace the Crusaders.

Tommy Scott also had a 17-yard TD run for the Crusaders, who trailed 3-0 after one quarter and led 7-3 at halftime.

MCC, which outscored McBain 26-7 in the second half, totaled 448 yards including 416 on the ground.

“We just tried to use all three of the running backs,” MCC coach Mike Holmes said. “We got good consistent runs of 5-6 yards a carry.”

Lewandoski  led MCC’s defense with 16 tackles, followed by Nick Holt and Lamar Jordan with nine tackles apiece and Phil Mesker with eight stops.
