Muskegon Lumberjacks affiliate player Tristan Rostagno has committed to playing at Michigan Tech beginning with the 2015 season.

Rostagno was the Jacks’ fifth-round draft pick in the USHL Futures Draft back in May.

The native of Pewaukee, Wisc., will continue his prep career as a sophomore at Arrowhead High School. He also will play for the Wisconson U-16 team of the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association.

Last season, as a freshman, he had 14 points in 19 games.

The 6-foot-1 defenseman was named to the Classic Eight All-Conference Team and was the team’s defensive MVP last season.

“Michigan Tech was a very easy choice for me because I loved the coaching staff and the facilities they had to offer,” Rostagno said.  “It was far different from any other school that I visited, and I knew that Michigan Tech was the choice for me.”
