The Muskegon Lumberjacks announced Friday they have added Keith Sullivan to the front office staff.

Sullivan, a former National Hockey League scout, will serve as team vice president. He will oversee player acquisition, manage the roster as well as assist in managing the hockey department of the USHL club’s organization.

“Coming to the Muskegon Lumberjacks is a great opportunity for me,” Sullivan said. “I will do my best to help complement the things that are already in place, as well as help provide insight to give Muskegon an even better product on and off the ice.”

Fore more than 20 years, Sullivan has been a scout. Among his stops were Sherbrooke of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and then the Lincoln Stars and Omaha Lancers of the USHL.

He also has been in the NHL with the Phoenix Coyotes and Winnipeg Jets.

“I am thrilled that Keith was able to join our club,” Lumberjack owner Josh Mervis said. “Keith’s depth of experience in the NHL and his past success in the USHL will enable him to make an immediate impact for the Lumberjacks.

“Keith joining our team as vice president adds another NHL veteran who can help develop and shepherd our players to the next level successfully.”
