The Muskegon Lumberjacks headed home from the 2012 USHL Fall Classic with a 1-2 record.

On Saturday, the Jacks dropped a 3-1 decision to the Lincoln Stars in a game played inĀ  Sioux Falls, Iowa.

Fredrik Tiffels gave Muskegon a 1-0 lead with 5 minutes remaining in the second period, but the Stars scored the game’s final three goals to post the victory. Rasmus Bengtsson was credited with the assist.

Lumberjack goaltender Hayden Stewart stopped 31-of-34 shots.

Muskegon returned home after the game and will continue preparation for the start of the USHL regular season. The Lumberjacks face Team USA next Saturday night at L.C. Walker Arena in the home opener.
