INDIANAPOLIS – The Muskegon Lumberjacks got on the board early on Saturday night, but fell to the Indiana Ice 2-1.

Chad McDonald scored four minutes into the first period on assists from Ben Foster and Frederik Tiffels.

The Ice responded with a pair of goals just five minutes apart in the same period.

Muskegon outshot Indiana 33-27 as goalie Tyler Parks stopped 15-of-17 shots. Jordan Uhelski relieved Parks midway through the second period and stopped 10 shots for the Lumberjacks.

Muskegon travels to Sioux City, Iowa next Thursday for the2012 USHL Fall Classic where it will face the Waterloo Blackhawks in the first of three games.
