Egan Porter honored his late grandfather Jerry Porter in a very special way on Thursday night at the Sherman Bowling Center.

Three days after his grandfather passed away, Egan rolled a 300 game wearing his late grandfather’s bowling shirt.

Using his C-System 3.5 bowling ball, Porter finished with a 692 series.

His grandfather, Jerry, was a fixture in the Muskegon Bowling community as he served in many positions for the Greater Muskegon Bowling Association and was a member of the Greater Muskegon Bowling Hall of Fame.

Porter passed away at home on Monday at the age of 77 after battling a long illness.
