Fremont grabbed the early 1-0 lead Tuesday evening, but it was all Kenowa Hills after that as the host Knights downed the Packers 5-2 to advance to Thursday’s Division 2 district semifinal match against Fruitport.
Peter Brown scored the hat trick for Kenowa Hills, with teammates Vinny Mendez and Eddie Elderkin adding goals as well.
The Knights move on to face the Trojans at Spring Lake. That match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
