Whitehall native Nate McLouth continues to make solid contributions for the Baltimore Orioles in their American League Division Series against the New York Yankees.

The Orioles evened the best-of-five series at a game each on Monday night with a 3-2 victory over the Yankees.

McLouth finished 1-4 with a single and a run scored. He scored in the third inning, which at that time, erased a 1-0 deficit and gave the Orioles a 2-1 lead.

In the eighth inning, McLouth made a solid play in leftfield to hold Yankee Mark Teixeira to a leadoff single. The Yankees did not score in that inning.

The series shifts to Yankee Stadium for the final three games, if necessary.
