Mona Shores continued its hot season on a rainy Thursday night with a 4-1 OK Black Conference boys’ soccer victory.

The Sailors (16-1-1) won their 16th straight game and finished 10-0 in the league.

Shores led 1-0 after Jacob Carlson’s goal on an assist by Cole Shafer. Minutes later, Nate Majeski upped the lead to 2-0 with a goal from 30 yards out.

Christian Fritz gave the Sailors a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Puffer scored late in the second half to break up Joey Wolffis’ bid for a 14th shutout.

Jeremy Szost scored in front of the goal on an assist by Grant Fortenbacher to cap the scoring for the Sailors.

Wolffis made nine saves in goal. Both teams had 12 shots on goal.

Both teams also will return to action in next week’s district tournament.
