The Muskegon Lumberjacks raised their record to 5-0-1 on Tuesday night with a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Team USA.

The game was played in Ann Arbor.

Three unanswered goals in the second period pushed the Jacks’ record to 3-0-1 on the road.

Conor Garland scored midway through the first period to give Muskegon a 1-0 lead.

After Team USA tied the game early in the second period, the Jacks went to work. Four minutes after the hosts tied the game, Chris Leibinger set up Max Shuart for a goal and a 2-1 Muskegon lead.

Adam Gilmour scored at 13:09 and Mason Jobst scored at 14:53. Gilmour’s red lighter was a power-play goal.

Team USA scored with 20 seconds left in the game to complete the evening’s scoring. Tyler Kelleher scored both goals for Team USA.

Muskegon goaltender Kevin Lindskoug stopped 31 of the 33 shots he faced.

The Jacks completed their three-game road trip with a 2-0-1 record. They host the Chicago Steel at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at L.C. Walker Arena.  The Lumberjacks travel to Chicago for an 8 p.m.k game on Saturday night to wrap up the weekend.
