North Muskegon and Hesperia dominated the Division 4 girls cross country regional at Allendale on Saturday.

Saugatuck won the team championship with 42 points, but North Muskegon placed second with 47 points and Hesperia was third with 70.

White Cloud placed fifth with 124 points.

The top three teams and top 15 individuals who are not members of a state finals qualifying team advance to the state finals meet at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn on Nov. 3.

North Muskegon’s second-place finish was keyed by Emily Witham, who placed second overall in a time of 19:28.

NM’s Avery Lowe (20:00) was third overall and Hannah Meier (20:44) was seventh.

Hesperia placed four runners in the top 15, led by Jasmine Hall (20:47), who finished eighth overall.

Hesperia’s Emily Gowin (21:09) was 11th, Hannah Sperry (21:10) was 12th and Brooke Schooley (21:24) was 15th.

Walkerville’s Emily Merten (20:43) also qualified for the state finals by placing sixth overall.
