North Muskegon knocks off Hart in WM Conference tournament soccer match

The North Muskegon Norsemen spotted the Hart Pirates a goal on Monday before battling back and gaining a 3-1 victory.

Hart came into the game as the No. 2 seed behind unbeaten Whitehall.

The game was a first-round matchup in the WMC season-ending tournament.

Goals by Spencer Wallis, Jacob Berends and Anthony Smith wiped out a 1-0 deficit and pushed the Norsemen into the next round.

The victory also avenged an early-season 6-0 loss to the Pirates.

North Muskegon will travel to Whitehall on Wednesday for its semifinal matchup. On the other side of the bracket, Oakridge will take on Shelby.

Oakridge defeated Mason County Central and Shelby topped Ravenna.
