Get tuned up and tuned in as area high school football teams head to regionals

Broadcasters Jon Russell and Cal VanSingel agreed to take the longest road trip to provide the best community service for area football fans.

That’s why those road warriors are heading to the Upper Peninsula this weekend for the Division 6 playoff game between  Shelby and Negaunee.

Russell and VanSingel will be on WLCS-FM 983. beginning at noon on Saturday to provide the play-by-play and color for the regional game.

Here is the schedule for two other games involving area teams:

Muskegon at Midland, 1 p.m., WVIB-FM 100.1 and WMRR-FM 101.7 (pregame at 12:30 p.m.)

Muskegon Catholic Central at Mendon, 1 p.m., WMPA-FM 93.1
