Spring Lake had a pair of all-state runners as they finished second at the Division 2 girls state finals cross country meet on Saturday at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.

The Lakers finished runner-up to Forest Hills Eastern for the team championship.

Forest Hills Eastern finished with 93 points, while the Lakers totaled 150 points.

Fremont finished in 12th place overall with 362 points.

Carlyn Arteaga and Brittany Beeler both earned all-state honors by placing in the top 30 for the Lakers.

Arteaga placed 15th overall with a time of 18:27 and Beeler placed 21st in a time of 18:35.

Erin O’Keefe (34th), Ashley Warner (55th) and Brooke Carrier (120th) rounded out the scores for the Lakers.

Fremont was led by Brooke Wahl (19:21), who placed 54th overall.

Mackenzie Lounsbery (58th), Sandy Kunnen (64th) and Claire Schaar (142nd) rounded out the scores for Fremont.
