A balanced scoring attack did the trick for the Muskegon Community College women’s basketball team.

Led by Jazmyn Good with 22 points, the Jayhawks routed Schoolcraft Community College 91-53 on Saturday at Bartels-Rode Gymnasium.

Lindsey Burnside produced 10 points and nine rebounds, Sonnie Kurnat had 13 points, Nicole Walsworth had 10 points and four steals and Teareya Hills added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Coach Ron Jenkins has been stressing the need for taking good shots and that’s exactly what happened on Saturday.

MCC outrebounded Schoolcraft 54-40. For the game, the Jayhawks shot 44 percent from the field on 37-of-84 shooting.
