The Muskegon Lumberjacks dropped a 5-4 shootout decision to the Cedar Rapids Roughriders on Friday night at L.C. Walker Arena.

In a game that needed a sudden death shootout to decided the winner, the Jacks did earn one point in the standings.

The Jacks owned a 4-2 lead in the latter stages of the second period before the Roughriders scored the last two regulation goals to send the game into overtime.

Muskegon received two goals from Campbell Elynuik and one each from Adam Gilmour and Joe Cox. Elynuik also had an assist as did Cox. Frederik Tiffels had two assists.

Cedar Rapids’ goal scorers were Andrew Oglevie, Jack Rowe, Dylan Steman and Clay Anderson.

Lumberjacks’ goaltender Kevin Lindskoug took the overtime loss in net.
