According to the Baltimore Sun, McLouth, 31, has signed a one-year deal to remain a member of the Orioles.
McLouth was a key performer in the Orioles stretch drive and in the playoffs.
The Sun also reported the signing of McLouth was most likely the Orioles’ last signing of a major league outfielder during this offseason.
The deal will be finalized upon passing a team physical.
The contract, according to The Sun, is worth $2 million with incentives for plate appearances. Those incentives could reach $500,000 if he makes 550 plate appearances next season. If he reaches that plateau, it would mean a $750,000 raise from his salary from 2012.
McLouth batted .268 with seven home runs and 12 steals in 55 games for Baltimore in 2012.
