MUSKEGON – The Howard City Tri-County boys basketball team was able to keep Lakes 8 rival Orchard View at bay, outscoring the host Cardinals 29-24 across the second half to escape with the 50-44 win.
The visiting Vikings led 21-20 at the break.
Orchard View had one player, Keith Melton, score double-digits, pouring in 16 points to share game-high honors with Tri-County’s Mitch Goerner. John Leonard and Alec Sherwood added nine and eight points, respectively, for Orchard View.
Tri-County’s Cade Dailey added 15 points in the victory.
