The North Muskegon Norse kept their composure down the stretch and pulled out a 34-32 victory over the  Whitehall Vikings on Tuesday night in a West Michigan Conference girls basketball game.

Abby Clark did much of the damage down the stretch with a pair of 3-pointers and one two-pointer. She scored eight of her 11 points in the decisive final quarter. Hannah Meier scored NM’s other four points in the final eight minutes.

“It was a hard fought game by both teams and NM was able to protect a small lead with a minute left in the fourth,” NM coach Doug Clark said. “Whitehall had a couple of chances to tie or go ahead, but they missed and NM did a good job at running out the clock.”

Emily MacArthur led Whitehall with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Jenna Pesch added 11 points and three steals.

Besides her 11 points, Clark had six steals. Anna  Osborn had seven rebounds.
