Reeths-Puffer was a step slow on the defensive end on Tuesday night and the result was a 59-47 loss to Grandville.

“It was an ugly game,” Rocket coach Dave Ingles said. “We couldn’t make a layup and we couldn’t make a free throw and that kills the offense.”

The Rockets trailed 13-6 after one quarter and 25-18 at the half.

Marquese Livers led R-P with 17 points and Andrew Reinecke added 11 points.

“We were just a step late getting into the passing lanes and that’s frustrating,” Ingles said. “We ran our offense, got layups and free throws, but never made anything.”

The Rockets made 17-of-32 from the line.

Joey Lanning led the Bulldogs with 27 points.
