Western Michigan Christian girls built an early lead after one quarter and rolled to a 59-43 nonconference home win over Grand Rapids West Catholic Tuesday.

The Warriors took a 16-7 lead after one quarter and held that margin throughout most of the game before West Catolic pulled within six in the fourth. But WMC ended up pulling away with a 20-14 fourth quarter advantage.

Vanessa Eekhoff pulled off the double-double, scoring 24 points to lead the Warriors and grabbing 13 rebounds, eight on the offensive end.

Rachel Bruinsma finished with 16 points for WMC with eight rebounds and six blocks and Julie Merz dished out seven assists while picking up six steals.
