The Ravenna girls bowling team  reached the semifinals of the Division 4 team state finals on Friday before losing to eventual state runnerup Sandusky.

The Bulldogs qualified third in the morning Qualifying Block, then defeated Kalamazoo Hackett in the quarterfinals. But in the semifinals, Ravenna dropped a 46-pin decision to Sandusky.

In the quarterfinals, Ravenna knocked off Hackett 1,117-1,071.

In the Baker games, Ravenna notched scores of 149-188 and a 780 in the individual game. Hackett countered with a 111 and 170 Baker games and a 790 individual game.

Then came the semifinals and the Bulldogs fell behind by 40 pins after the Baker games and lost the individual game 885-808.

Ravenna had a 140 and 160 in the Baker games. Sandusky had a 147 and 193.
