Shelby guns down Hart in ‘C’ district final, heads to regionals on Monday

A total of 14 Shelby Tigers scored on Friday night in a 69-33 victory over the Hart Pirates.

The Class C district final was played at Hesperia High School.

The victory moves the Tigers into Monday’s regional semifinal game at Traverse City West. Coach Rick Zoulek’s team will face Leroy Pine River, which defeated McBain on Friday night in district action.

Andrew Beckman scord 14 points and Jason Beckman added 10 for Shelby, which defeated Hart twice prior during the regular season. Austin Porter added eight points.

Gil Colon led Hart with 12 points and Brandon Amstutz added nine.
