Young, but hard working is the way Coach Terry Fick describes his Montague Wildcat girls track team.

“We are a very young group of girls on paper,” Fick said. “But they are a very hard working group. Once they believe they are as good as they are, they will compete for the top three in the conference.”

This year’s roster is larger than usual and that gives Fick even more optimism for the upcoming season.

Key returnees  – Alex Henrick (sprints, relays), Liz Moak (high jump, hurdles, relays) and senior Alex Grossman (sprints) – will lead the way.

Newcomers expected to score points for the Wildcats include freshmen Abby Christmas (sprints, relays), Robbie Berg (hurdles, sprints, relays) and Sierra Armstrong (sprints, relays).

Other athletes catching the eye of the coach are freshmen Zoey Bauer, Veronnica Charles, Vanessa Chavez and Sonya Gring along with sophomore Stephanie Hall and junior Sophia Schenpp.
