Back in January, the Ravenna School Board approved the addition of golf to the school’s list of sports offerings.

Now Coach David Greeno has a squad of 13 players itching to get out on the course and compete for the Bulldogs, which will play its home matches at Moss Ridge.

“We don’t have much team golf experience, but we ahve a lot of years playing as a young team,” Greeno said. “We have been outside since March 11 and this is a very dedicated group of young men. I am very proud they got the team they asked for.”

Senior Trevor Hall, who played at Coopersville last year, and senior Dan Wagner will lead the way long with juniors Neal Wilds and Jake Deering.

Sophomore Connor Beahan also brings a lot of potential to the Ravenna lineup.

In the early going, Timmy Patterson, Jordan Grimm and Dustin Gerrits will be three solid alternates.
