If you’ve never seen surfing on Lake Michigan, now is your chance. Check out what went down in st. Joseph this past weekend as Jack Nordgren was on hand to sign his new book, Wave Chasers 2.
Nordgren’s new book features surfing on all five of the Great Lakes and includes some nice waves in the Grand Haven and Muskegon area.
Photographer Mike Killion helped Nordgren with his new book. Killion is the publisher of Great Lakes Surfer Magazine, which highlights freshwater surfing in the Midwest.
Surfer Will Wall is featured on the cover of Wave Chasers 2. Wall showed up on the beach in St. Joseph with surfing pal Burton Hathaway. Both surfers enjoyed a few nice rides before heading to Nordgren’s book signing.

Lake Tahoe does has bigger waves for sure. You should go there and try it, he he :)
Ya Richard this is just a small day here on the Great Lakes. These Lakes get well overhead and WILL KILL YA. You can have Lake Tahoe the lakes out break more than just once a year we surf ALL THE TIME.Look at my FB profile you will see the qualitity of waves we get out here.B.
