Green Bay Gambler Matt Weis was handed a four-game suspension on Tuesday for his kneeing incident Saturday night at L.C. Walker Arena.
Weis kneed Muskegon Lumberjack Joe Cox, who was wearing a leg brace and was walking on crutches on Sunday.
And while Weis will sit out four games, it appears Cox will be sidelined significantly longer.
Cox was injured at 12:12 of the final period of Saturday night’s game, which Muskegon won 5-1.
Cox had appeared in all 62 Lumberjack games this season and was the team’s second-leading scorer with 39 points.
