Holton sweeps baseball doubleheader from Lakeview

The Holton Red Devils captured both games of a baseball doubleheader against Lakeview on Tuesday.

The Red Devils won the first game 5-1 and the nightcap 14-4.

In the first game, Brad Epplett had two hits, one a double, and knocked in two runs. Adam Wiegand was the winning pitcher. He pitched 5 1/3 innings and struck out seven.

In the nightcap, four Red Devils each had two hits: Jacob Moreen, Isaac Mock, Jeremiah Sergent and Hayden Cregg. Cregg, who was the winning pitcher, knocked in four runs while Sergent and Moreen each had three RBIs.

Cregg allowed one earned run in four innings of work. He had two strikeouts.
