What better way to get a doubleheader started than with a no-hitter?

On Tuesday, Kaitlyn Wozniak fired a no-hitter in the first game as Muskegon Community College defeated Glen Oaks 13-0. MCC also won the nightcap, 10-0.

Wozniak faced 16 batters, one over the minimum for a five-inning game.

The Jayhawks had 15 hits in the first game, led by the three-hit performance by Deanna Stickler-Gatson. Her hits included a two-run homer. Kayti Carlson finished with two doubles and Emily Peake had a two-run single.

In the second game, the Jayhawks had 11 hits. Carlson and Taylor Sanicki each belted a home run. Carlson had three hits and knocked in five runs. Sanicki also had a double.

Kaitlyn Pirochta and Taylor Lemke combined to post the shutout.
