Mona Shores swept a baseball doubleheader from Muskegon on Tuesday behind some solid hitting in the opener and overpowering pitching in the second game.

Mona Shores ran its record to 3-0 with 15-5 and 11-1 victories over the Big Reds.

In the opener, Kyle Lawson had three singles while freshman Tyler Trovinger chipped in with a triple and a single.

In the second game, southpaw Collin Adams struck out 15 in six innings of work. Austin Swiatek led the offense with three hits, including a double. Lawson added two singles and Trovinger belted a two-run homer.
