Kim Burleson had three singles and scored two runs and led the Muskegon Community College Jayhawks to a rain-shortened 8-5 victory over host Ancilla on Thursday.
The game ended after six innings due to rain. Game 2 was rained out.
Megan VanderWal pitched five innings and picked up the victory. She struck out five, allowed seven hits and did not allow a walk. Taylor Lemke pitched the final inning.
MCC is 16-15 overall, 7-2 in the Western Conference.
