The Muskegon Community College Jayhawk softball team played their first 28 games of the season on the road, including a rough twinbill on Sunday in Grand Rapids.

MCC dropped 13-9 and 10-2 decisions to Grand Rapids Community College. The Jayhawks finally return home on Tuesday when they host Glen Oaks Community College.

In Game 1 on Sunday, Brooke Agers, Katyi Carlson and Alyssa Telling each had three hits to lead MCC. Agers knocked in four runs and Telling plated three.

In the nightcap, Jessica Gillings had two of the Jayhawks’ six hits.

MCC dropped to 13-15 overall, 4-2 in the Western Conference.
