Nine home runs highlighted a doubleheader split between Muskegon Community College and Lansing Community College.

Lansing hit five home runs and Muskegon CC had four. Muskegon CC won the opener 9-8 in the first game and Lansing CC came back for a 13-3 victory in the nightcap.

In the opener, Brooke Agers finished 4-for-4, scored four runs, belted one home run and had three doubles for the Jayhawks (21-16, 12-3). Taylor Lemke pitched two innings in relief and picked up the victory.

In the nightcap, the Jayhawks’ three runs all came on solo home runs by Emily Peak, Kayti Carlson and Brooke Agers. MCC had just four hits in the game.
