Nate McLouth belted a solo home run in the eighth inning on Saturday as Baltimore defeated Oakland 7-3.

The home run was McLouth’s first of the season and one of three hits he had on the day. He scored one run and drove in two runs.

Saturday’s performance raised his season batting average to .319. That mark is good for 15th in the American League.

His 17 runs scored is tied for the sixth-highest in the AL.
