Reeths-Puffer captured the Benzie Central Invitational to give Coach Tim Schuppe his 200th career victory on Saturday.

The Rockets trailed Traverse City St. Francis 7-4 in the sixth inning of the championship game, but rallied to score four runs to win 8-7.

Reeths-Puffer scored two runs on a St. Francis error and Matt Hoover followed up with a two-run single to cap the late-inning rally.

St. Francis had jumped ahead early by scoring six runs in the first inning. But Rocket pitcher Brett Boes came on in relief and pitched 5 1/3 innings and gave up three hits, one walk and allowed no earned runs.

Caleb Sheffer was named tournament MVP. Sheffer had three hits against St. Francis.

The Rockets faced Benzie Central in their opener and won 13-2. Reeths-Puffer scored seven runs in the third inning.

Pitcher Trevor Mosher posted the victory. He did not allow an earned run and did not walk a batter. Mosher allowed five hits and struck out five.

Nate Brown had three hits, including a triple, a double and three RBI.
