Senior Spencer Peters struck out 15 batters in 18 outs on Tuesday and sparked the Shelby Tigers to a doubleheader sweep of Hart in West Michigan Conference baseball.

Shelby won the first game 17-1 and the nightcap 13-3.

Peters pitched six innings, allowed four hits and one run in the opener. Leading hitters were Graham Herin and Kyle McGrew with three hits each, including a double. Andy Fortier had two hits and Luke Baffi had a triple and three RBI.

In the nightcap, the Tigers used a 12-hit attack and flexed their muscles with four home runs.

Fortier had three hits, including a home run and a double, and four RBI and Shane Kaijtazi with two hits, one a home run, and four RBI. McGrew and Baffi also hit home runs. Herin had two hits, one a double.
