The Hart Pirates did not win a match last season on the golf course.
Thus, second-year head coach Brad Francis is looking for his first victory this coming season. He’s looking at some senior leadership from two golfers, Andrew Draves and Austin Monroe.
“I hope that we can compete at a higher level as a team,” said Francis, who sees Mason County Central, North Muskegon and Whitehall as the teams to beat in the conference.
Hart also has five newcomers on this year’s team, including two freshmen. That group includes junior Joe Fillips, sophomores Matt Wilson and Bailey Vela and freshmen Matt VanderWall and Joe McClatchy.
