The Reeths-Puffer Rockets have set high goals for themselves for the girls track season.
A year ago, the Rockets fashioned an undefeated regular season, an OK Black Conference championship and a City Meet title and they’d certainly like to duplicate that feat.
“We hope to compete for another city and conference championship,” Coach Gary Niklasch said. “However, we have some holes to fill with the loss of our seniors last year in the field events and sprints.”
Leading the group of returning players includes Christy Schultz, Briana Greinke, Shy Archer, Camaryia Williams, McKenzie Richardson, Emily Cross, Summer Hussey, Shelbi Adams, and Kallie Acuna.
Coach Niklasch also has a solid group of newcomers who have caught his attention. That group includes Chloe Fox, Melissa Powell, Lexi Fortenberry, Ariana Burt, Micah Peel, Kayla Melton, Ashley Maue, and Kenrda Irvine.
“We do have a strong senior class with great experience and success in the past,” Niklasch said. “I look forward to our season.”
