Travis Cohoon belted a home run in the bottom of the sixth inning on Saturday and lifted Muskegon Community College to a 2-1 baseball victory over St. Clair. Muskegon CC won the nightcap 11-1.

Cohoon’s late-inning blast made a winner of starting pitcher Adam Poel, who went 6 1/3 innings. Bryant Westra came on and picked up the save. Cohoon led the Jayhawks with two hits.

In the second game, David Foster posted the victory on the mound as he received plenty of offensive help from his teammates. Drew Johnson led the way with three hits. M.J. Oshinski and John Jackoviak each had two hits.

MCC is now 21-9 overall and 12-3 in the conference. The Jayhawks travel to Jackson CC on Sunday for another twinbill.
