Whitehall rolled past Mason County Central 10-0 in Game 1, but the Spartans snuck past Whitehall 9-8 in Game 2.

Zach Zweigle posted the Game-1 win for Whitehall (3-3, 2-2). He gave up one hit, struck out two and had no walks.  Zweigle also drove in three runs on two singles.

Ray Copley led Whitehall with three RBI on a double and triple and Noah Robart had two hits and an RBI.

In Game 2, Mitchell Lange gave MCC (3-7, 1-3) the 9-8 win with an RBI single in the sixth inning.

Nathan Stinnet and Lange both had three hits for MCC. Stinnet finished with three RBI while Lange scored two runs and notched the game-winning RBI.

Allen Barnhard had two hits and two runs and Spencer Knizacky had two hits for the Spartans.

Whitehall’s Jake Kring had three hits and scored two runs and Jake Gillhespy had two hits and scored three runs.

Winning pitcher Brian Erndteman pitched six innings. He allowed eight hits and struck out six.

“We hit the ball much better today,” said Whitehall coach Warren Zweigle. “If we can learn to throw strikes and field the ball too, then we are going to have the opportunity to be pretty good.”
