Fruitport swept a pair of Lakes 8 baseball games on Tuesday, winning  8-3 in Game 1 and capped off Game 2 with a 12-4 victory.

The Trojans scored runs in every inning except the second in the opener  as pitcher Travis Grimm posted the complete game. Grimm struck out eight and gave up no walks and one earned run.

Kolin Lakatos led Fruitport with three hits and Mitchell Reyes had two hits and an RBI.

Ryan Karns paced Ludington with two hits.

In the nightcap, Fruitport opened up the first inning with five runs and never slowed down.

Reyes led with two hits and two RBI, Andrew Slocum and Brandon Lee had two hits and an RBI apiece. Jacob Breese and Alex Bowen had two hits each for the Trojans.

Ludington managed four hits as Hunter Klug led the way with a single and an RBI.
