Kyle Boyd’s three hits and three RBI sparked Kent City with a 10-6 win over Godwin Heights on Monday.

The Eagles (11-4, 6-3) fell behind early as Godwin Heights pushed across two runs in the first inning.

Kent City responded with three runs in the second inning and added five more in the third.

Justin Phillips had a pair of singles and three RBI and Tyler Hawkins had a single, a double and scored three runs for Kent City.

Kyle Busse and Cody Chipman had two hits apiece for Kent City. Randy Thompson and Austin Thompson each had a single and an RBI.

Winning pitcher Travis Hielkem pitched three innings and gave up five runs, four hits and one walk. Hawkins pitched four innings and struck out six.
